To enhance access to reasonably priced and high-quality Family Planning (FP) services, DKT has built a network of more than 1500+ clinics under the Dhanak franchise.

DKT Pakistan has established a network of clinics under the name “Dhanak Healthcare Centers” to increase access to affordable and quality Family Planning (FP) services in less privileged and underserved communities in Pakistan. Dhanak is different from others as it forms a partnership between MNCH/DoPW, the provider and DKT, where DKT helps in construction/renovation, provides products, trains for quality, monitor and assists in mobilization. DKT helps Dhanak providers to run their clinics as entrepreneurs and move towards sustainability.

Family Planning Councling

Family planning counseling plays a pivotal role in empowering individuals and couples to make informed decisions about their reproductive health and family life. This process involves a confidential and empathetic dialogue where trained counselors provide comprehensive information on various contraceptive methods, from hormonal and barrier options to natural and permanent solutions. Tailoring advice to individual health needs, lifestyle, and family goals, the counseling aims to guide clients through understanding the benefits and limitations of each method, aiding in making choices that align with their personal and cultural values. Crucially, family planning counseling respects individual autonomy and promotes informed consent, acknowledging diverse cultural beliefs and ethical considerations while striving to enhance the overall well-being of clients.
